My Story

Michelle has over 18 years in Indigenous health and wellness, rooted in holistic healing, cultural grounding, and community empowerment.  From fitness instruction (Zumba, yoga, strength training) to program developer and facilitator to now an intern with Indigenous Psychological Services.

Michelle believes each person carries their own medicine. Her work supports reconnection and inner wisdom through compassion, intuition, and Indigenous ways of knowing.

As a Cree woman, she integrates the Two Eyed Seeing approach in the work  honouring Indigenous ways of knowing alongside Western knowledge. Some areas of interest are Compassion focused therapy, Solution focused therapy, Cognitive behavioural therapy,  Dialectical behavioural therapy and Narrative therapy.

She is a proud member of Kawacatoose First Nation!
