My Story

Tansi, my name is Lindsay Worthington, and I am a Master of Counselling Psychology student intern. I believe every person has a story that deserves to be heard with care. I offer a warm, compassionate, and collaborative space where clients can explore their experiences and make sense of the journey that has brought them to where they are today.

I identify as a Métis woman, with roots on my father’s side in the Lac La Biche area. My Métis heritage informs my counselling practice through values of relational balance, respect, and interconnectedness. I strive to practice with cultural humility, approaching each client as the expert of their own life and honouring the unique identities and contexts they bring into the room. My approach is trauma-informed and somatically grounded, supporting clients in building awareness of their nervous system, emotions, and bodily responses in a way that feels safe and empowering. I also draw from Person-Centered principles, as well as CBT and psychodynamic perspectives, to support both insight and practical change.

I am honoured to work with youth, adults, and Elders navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, addictions, attachment challenges, ADHD, and life transitions. My goal is to offer support that fosters healing, growth, and lasting change. I am proud to be part of the No-Barrier Counselling Program, offering counselling services that are accessible and responsive to community needs.
