My Story

I am an Indigenous counsellor from Treaty 8 territory. I recognize and respect that I live and work within Treaty 6 territory. My academic focus has always been on Indigenous populations, emphasizing trauma and trauma-informed approaches to therapy and research. I aim to add to the mental health services field by bringing culturally-informed practices to individual, youth, and family therapy to Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.

I am completing training and workshops focusing on trauma-informed therapies, TF-CBT, and somatic attachment. Additionally, I have taken QPR training, ASIST, Indigenous Awareness training, and Indigenous Allies training. I am constantly working on building my knowledge of the many beautiful groups and cultures in and around Edmonton so that I am informed and provide culturally sensitive care where it is needed. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with individuals, youth, and adolescents to work on mental health and walk with them on their journey.

Services include: Individuals, youth (10 yrs +), families, and general mental health counselling, including; trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, sexual assault, and stress-related issues.

Clients I am not accepting at this time: People requiring highly specialized mental health support, such as severe trauma or psychosis.

Qualifications and training: Indigenous Allies, QPR, Indigenous Awareness Training, ASIST
Training Enrolled in: Foundations of TF-CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Somatic-Attachment.
