I was born and raised in British Columbia, and as I age, I find myself gravitating closer to the ocean. I currently reside on the unceded traditional lands of the shíshálh Nation and the Skwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw, now known as the Sunshine Coast.
Since April 2011, I have been a Registered Psychiatric Nurse. My career has involved outreach work on Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, providing support to youth and adults with concurrent disorders, and offering community mental health services across various communities in Nunavut. I hold a Master’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing.
In my counseling practice, I incorporate a variety of therapeutic approaches including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). These modalities allow me to tailor treatment to the unique needs of each individual, helping clients address trauma, reframe their life stories, and challenge unhelpful thought patterns. I believe in a holistic, client-centered approach that fosters healing through collaboration, empowerment, and respect.
My work is deeply influenced by my diverse experiences, and I am passionate about providing compassionate care that supports individuals in navigating complex mental health challenges, creating space for transformation and growth.
