Youth Therapy

Counselling for teenagers and youth as they navigate emotional, social, and behavioural challenges in a safe and culturally sensitive space for exploration and self-discovery.

Adolescents face unique pressures and developmental changes, so it’s important to provide support that is individualized and responsive to their needs. Being unique in supporting youth means recognizing their diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, and offering flexible, compassionate care that helps them feel understood and empowered to grow.

Youth Therapy at IPS

Our youth therapy services provide a safe, culturally sensitive space where young people can explore their identities, including gender and self-discovery, with respect and understanding. We honour each youth’s unique background and traditions, integrating Indigenous values and holistic practices into the healing process. Our approach supports youth in building confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self, empowering them to navigate life’s challenges while staying connected to their culture and community.

When a new client receives youth services, they can expect a supportive environment where practitioners meet them where they are—respecting their individual experiences, emotions, and readiness to engage. Our approach includes helping young people learn about brain and nervous system development, and teaching practical skills for emotional regulation. We focus on building trust, understanding each client’s unique needs, and empowering them with tools to manage stress, build resilience, and support their overall well-being.
