Family Reunification Support

We work alongside Child and Family Services, leadership, and caregivers to support safe, structured, and clinically informed reunification processes.

Services May Include:

  • Reunification readiness assessments
  • Individual counselling for parents and caregivers
  • Child-focused therapeutic support
  • Attachment-based interventions
  • Supervised therapeutic visits (where appropriate)
  • Gradual reintegration planning
  • Safety planning and stabilization support
  • Ongoing post-reunification follow-up

Our clinicians utilize attachment-informed, trauma-focused, and strengths-based frameworks while honouring traditional family systems and kinship structures.

Child & Youth Counselling

We provide developmentally appropriate therapeutic services for children and youth experiencing:

  • Trauma exposure and intergenerational trauma
  • Behavioral and emotional regulation concerns
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Grief and loss
  • Placement disruption
  • Identity and cultural disconnection

 

Services may incorporate play-based therapy, expressive arts, land-based approaches, and culturally rooted practices.

Traditional Parenting Support

We offer culturally responsive parenting programs that reconnect families with traditional child-rearing knowledge and community strengths.

Programming may include:

  • Traditional parenting teachings
  • Attachment and bonding education
  • Understanding trauma in children
  • Restoring parental confidence and capacity
  • Parenting after reunification
  • Intergenerational healing discussions
  • Cultural roles and responsibilities in caregiving

 

Where possible, Elders and Knowledge Keepers are engaged to guide teachings and ensure alignment with local traditions.

Healing Circles & Family Circles

We facilitate structured, trauma-informed healing circles to support:

  • Parents and caregivers
  • Children and youth
  • Intergenerational family groups
  • Kinship care providers
  • Community-led healing initiatives

 

Circles provide a safe, facilitated space for storytelling, emotional processing, accountability, and collective healing.

Staff Workshops & Capacity Building

We support Child and Family Services teams and frontline workers through:

  • Trauma-informed child welfare practice
  • Understanding intergenerational trauma
  • Attachment and developmental trauma
  • Vicarious trauma and staff wellness
